Umeco, the aerospace distribution and services group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Moss as Chief Executive of its Aerospace Chemicals division.
Mr Moss, 43, has joined Umeco from Invensys plc where he was Chief Executive of the BTR Automotive & Building Products Group from 1996. Mr Moss joined BTR in 1986 and occupied a number of senior positions, including Managing Director, Aero Engine Equipment Group, and represented BTR on the technical board of the Society of British Aerospace Companies. Mr Moss is a Chartered Engineer.
Umeco's Aerospace Chemicals division comprises B&K Resins, Aerocontracts Chemicals, Med-Lab and RD Taylor. Aerocontracts Chemicals and RD Taylor were stand-alone companies within the ASED group of companies, acquired by Umeco in June 1999. B&K Resins and Aerocontracts Chemicals are to be merged to form a single company and will relocate to a new, integrated site in the near future. The Aerospace Chemicals division supplies a wide range of speciality chemicals, fluids, sealants, adhesives and other materials, both to aerospace and other industries, and has a current annualised turnover in excess of £30 million.
The Chief Executive of Umeco, Clive Snowdon, said today: "We are delighted to have recruited Andrew Moss who has detailed knowledge of the international aerospace industry and proven executive skills. His experience qualifies him ideally to ensure the successful integration of B&K Resins and Aerocontracts Chemicals and to expand the enlarged division domestically and overseas." |
