"We have made a good start to the year with business performance being ahead of this time last year. It is pleasing to report that our current order intake continues to run strongly ahead of deliveries as a result of the recovery in the civil aerospace market and of new contract wins.

"We continue to seek bolt-on acquisitions and a number of interesting opportunities are under consideration.
